Yes. A group can have multiple championships running for different games at once, each with its own rounds and standings.
What happens if a player misses a round?
They simply don't score for that round — the championship keeps going, and their total reflects only the rounds they actually played.
Is there a reward for winning?
Yes — finishing a championship in first place earns you a Champion badge on your profile, on top of the permanent record kept in your group's history.
Can teams play instead of individuals?
Yes, championships support a team format as well as individual play — pick whichever fits your group when you create it.
